Big open concert

The Big Open Concert by Russian Cultural Learning Centre Mosaica Inc has taken place on the 25th November 2017 in the Maali Mia Theatre of the Swan Christian College. This event has gathered more than 300 guests and participants – students and their parents, as well as teachers and supporters of the Russian School of the CLC Mosaica Inc. The concert was a culmination of the three-year intense and meticulous preparation, study and rehearsals. And as any concert of that scale and significance, it beared a huge effort – emotional and physical – of all teachers, students and their parents.
The concert has drawn serious attention of many multicultural formal and informal organisations. We would like to express our appreciation to all representatives of these organisations: Yaz Mubarakai – MLA, Member of Parliament WA, Enzo Sirna – President of Ethnic Schools Association of WA, Portia Zar – representative of Office of Multicultural Interests, WA, Oleg Elizov – representative from our sponsor company OJSC “NitroSibir”, Russia.
The Concert’s program featured a wide variety of performances by 38 of our students from as young as 4 and up to 17 years old, as well as by our devoted parents and teachers. Many of the students made their debuts on stage, thus entering the magnificent world of art performance from the side of the stage, experiencing to be an artist and being rewarded with the spectators’ recognition and applauses. Mum’s and dad’s performances on the stage, alternated and sometimes combined with children’ actions, received special attention and recognition by all guests – especially those of non-Russian background, as it demonstrated unprecedented engagement of the parents into school’s active life.
At the end of the concert our impresarios were discussing new opportunities with our formal guests from WA official institutions, resulting in invitations to many festive events of Perth and WA, as well as shaping up long-bred idea of the project of multicultural Gala Concert in Perth. All performing students have also been rewarded with special prizes from one of our sponsors – Ramix company (director Ramil Khakimov).
We have been receiving multitude of testimonials from our guests and supporters: “This was bright and unforgettable show – well-structured program, beautiful costumes and decorations, exceptional quality of performances – everything was great and will remain in my memory for a long time!”
We would like to thank all of our guests, supporters and especially parents and grandparents of our wonderful students. Thank you all for your recognition and support, for your emotions and appreciation, for your applauds and smiles!
