Dance Ball “Three Miracles”

Comparing the 19th and 20th centuries, it is quite obvious that the latter did not really inherit the full diversity and genuineness of the 19th century’s cultural palette, burying in time the essence of the ballroom, its festive traditions, dress code and the ceremonial etiquette. So, the Dance Ball began! Girls and boys, their mums and dads – all dressed up – walked the beautiful dance hall to the sounds of polonaise. The performance was followed by the presentation of one of the favourite Russian book “Fairy Tale about Saltan Tsar” by A. Pushkin. The wonderful verses recited by our children were accompanied by splendid music from the opera “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” by N. from Rimsky-Korsakov. The ball continued with exciting combination of funny salon games, waltzing and dancing polka, “Sudarushka” and “Khorovod”. The ball performance has concluded with sweets and dessert.
The annual Russian dance ball hosted by CLC “Mosaica” is becoming very popular and exciting tradition in Perth’ multicultural community.
